Support

Particle is made by one person, and support is by email. Write tosupport@particle-reader.com and you'll get a reply within a few days.

If you're reporting a bug, include your device, its system version, the app version (Settings → About) and what you did before it went wrong. If crash reports are on, add the report ID from Settings so the crash can be matched to your message.

Reading without an account

You can read EPUB, PDF and CBZ files on your device without an account or a subscription, and that won't change. You only need an account for Particle Sync.

Account

• Sign in or create an account under Menu → Account. "Forgot password?" on the sign-in form sends a reset link.
• Delete your account under Menu → Account → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and everything synced with it, including your books, progress, highlights and bookshelves. It does not cancel your subscription (see below).

Particle Sync subscription

• Particle Sync is an optional auto-renewing subscription, billed by the app store you bought it from. Menu → Account → Subscription shows its status and opens the store's management page.
• To cancel, use the store's subscription settings. On an iPhone or iPad, that is Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Sync stops at the end of the paid period, and your books stay on your devices.
• If you already subscribed, sign in with the same Particle account. If the subscription does not show, open Menu → Account → Subscription and tap Restore purchases.
• Refunds are handled by the store, not by Particle.

Your data

The privacy policy lists what Particle stores and where. For a copy of your data, or its deletion outside the app, email the address above.

calibre

The Particle calibre pluginsends books from a calibre library to your Particle account.

KOReader

The Particle KOReader plugindownloads books from your Particle library to a KOReader device and syncs your place, highlights and bookmarks. Unzip it into KOReader's plugins folder.
